Travel Power Outlets

Travel Power Outlets by Targus
There are never enough outlets. Sure, you can carry a full power strip in your already overcrowded computer bag but, why would you when you can get three extra outlets in a unit that weighs less than six ounces?
Features
The Targus unit has four outlets spaced so that you can have bricks plugged in three of them at the same time. Basic surge protection is also built-in (300 joules). The unit's power cord plugs into the outlet at the far end keeping it from getting caught or tangled. There's a Velcro strap around the center for added neatness.
Performance
At 5.6 ounces, the Travel Power Outlets will not add much weight to your computer bag.
Documentation
Not an issue. Only button is a reset if the surge protection is triggered. The button is nicely recessed to protect it from damage.
Support
Targus offers web and toll-free phone support.
Wish List
The only useful addition would be LAN/Modem surge protection
Value
At list price, the Targus Travel Power Outlets is on the pricey side. We found the unit at Fry's Electronics for $16.49. At that price it is a great buy.
Summary
Every road warrior should have a Targus Travel Power Outlets in their computer bag.
